THE DIGITAL STAGE COMES BACK TO BARCELONA 2017! Kòniclab organices the Third Digital Stage on October, 5th at Fabra i Coats (Creation Factory) in Barcelona, in connection with Strasbourg and Santiago de Xile. The ‘Third Digital Stage’ will continue on October, 25th and 26th at la Fabra i Coats in Barcelona, in the framework of the Cultsurfing.

For the third consecutive year Kòniclab continues to organize this program of research, training and creation activities, focusing on dance and the stages generated by the development of new technologies and the Internet.

NETWORKED PERFORMANCE WOKSHOP

Stage projects that are carried out in real time and simultaneously from distant places over the Internet, making a unique show for the audience. In this course, we will explore the new stage narratives, made possible using telematics technology. A study of several techniques in which the authors have specialized throughout their trajectory: real time composition through the Internet, networked and distributed shows and live interaction with video cameras.
Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy other Telematic Scene activities that will take place in the Fabra i Coats, with two practical experiences that will complete the program.
Rosa Sánchez & Alain Baumann have a long history in the development of works that hybridize the stage and new technologies. They have shown their work and held workshops in more than thirty countries.

DISTRIBUTED STAGE “ESPAI NO TÀCTIL” (NON-TACTILE SPACE)

ESPAI NO TÀCTIL (NON-TACTILE SPACE) IS A TRANSDISCIPLINARY PROJECT THAT PROPOSES A SHOW THAT MAKES USE OF NETWORK AND STREAMING TECHNOLOGIES.
The Show_
Espai NO Tàctil (Non-Tactile Space) is a concert-performance Site Specific to be presented from Barcelona in real-time connection with dancers and musicians located in Strasbourg and Santiago de Chile. In the stage project ‘Espai NO Tàctil’, Barcelona and several cities will connect to compose a specular and diverse show that will change each time it is presented. The audience in each city will witness the encounter of the dance over the network taking place in real time, sharing in the distance those moments in which time and space lose their significance.
With this version of the show, Kònic Thtr will begin a creative encounter between GeoDanse project, a research laboratory from Strasbourg University and their partners from Santiago de Chile University.
Kònic Thtr has a long history in the development of works that hybridize the stage and new technologies.

“MY BORDERS YOUR BORDERS” INTRODUCTION TO GEODANZA PROJECT

GeoDanse is a laboratory based on innovations for the artistic stage using digital technologies that incorporate audiovisual and ICT. This project is at the center of questions about geolocation and new ways of creating dance by using Internet. The activity will be with a reflection about the concepts of “presence” and “borders” through dance.

Kòniclab has been selected by CultSurfing to present in its programme the’ Digital Stage’, with the aim of transmitting our knowledge to the local artistic community, giving visibility, forming and creating community to debate. We want to generate a space for dialogue between creators, managers and producers that allows us to create cultural and artistic projects of Networked Digital Stage.
