Kònic Thtr will be connected from the ‘Capella MACBA’ in Barcelona with the ‘MuseumsQuartier’ in Vienna to offer the audience a unique real-time production and where the public will experience an “interactive collage”, that will merge time and space, filling the stage of Hall G Vienna with artists from around the world.
A dance performance and live music will sync various locations around the world -Barcelona,Viena, Ljubljana, New York, Judenburg and Prague-. Musicians, dancers and visual artists, interact in real time using advanced high speed transmission technologies for audio and video.
‘Near in the distance 2’ is a organized by ACOnet in Vienna to celebrate 25 years of internet in Austria. Kònic Thtr leads the choreographic part of the show from Barcelona and in collaboration with other renowned artists like the musician and composer Rupert Huber, with the participation of dancers Dominik Grünbühel and Victoria Macarte and musicians Richard Dorfmeister, Antye Greie-Ripatti aka AGF, and Chris Eckmann.
‘Near in the distance 2’ has the support of theCSUC ( Consortium Services of University of Catalunya) and the MACBA in Barcelona and is organized by ACOnet in Vienna (the Austrian science and research network) in cooperation with Mdw-Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts.
