On the evening of Saturday May 18th, Kònic Thtr will take part in the festival of Art and Science ‘El Aleph’ in Mexico City.
It will be at a distance, as a telematic performance, in the framework of the show Tensegrity by the company Musse Danza, directed by Abigail Jara.
Tensegrity is an international collaborative project between Mexico, Barcelona and Seattle, which investigates the connection of bodies at a distance, and has developed a suit with telematic technology that not only dresses the artist, but also listens to her, and translates her body information into data. Movement, heart rate, temperature: everything becomes signals sent to nodes in Mexico City (Musse Danza), Seattle (DXArts) and Barcelona (Kònic Thtr).
The show, a performative experience that transcends the physical and the digital, can be followed live at the Salón de Danza of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, starting at 7pm.
